We love the Rooster! We usually come here for breakfast, but their lunch food is also amazing. The service is typically very good and they have a really cute store in the back where you also pay for your meal. Initially, did not love the atmosphere, but I actually have come to like it a lot, it's actually great ambience for this style of eatery and we go there fairly frequently. Highly recommend this little gem in Mechanicville!

Ordered the House Corned Beef Hash and eggs. House made hash, tender, juicy, well spiced, some of the best hash I have tasted. Perfectly cooked over easy eggs, huge slices of swirled rye toast. Fast friendly service and plenty of seating. I will be back.

Love this place. Omelets are amazingly fluffy and portions are large. Liked it so much we went two days in a row. My only complaint is the seasoning on the potatoes can be a little too salty. Wish they had a low salt option.

The Ugly Rooster is the perfect mom-and-pop breakfast and lunch experience! The food is so good, I will definitely come back here anytime I am in the area! Everything is made with love and the service is extremely attentive, infused with small-town care. Diane, our server, was amazing and a pleasure to chat with, what a legend! The Huevos Rancheros and corned beef hash are both a thumb up. The Ugly Rooster is a no-brainer!
